My hearing aid spent days in snow and ice after I lost it (my fault) while filling bird feeders. When the snow finally melted, and I found the device, not only had it been exposed to the elements, the speaker was gone. Perhaps a squirrel nipped it off while scavenging spilled sunflowers. After a not so great experience at another location and a set of hearing aids that never worked for me, I saw the Anderson location. It had been a few years and I was now going to have a baby at home that I needed to hear. I’m 29 so was hesitant that I even needed them or that they’d work after my first set didn’t. I’ve been going to Acute Hearing for many years and have never had a problem. Not a glitch. Until this last time. When I put my hearing aids on the day after my appointment, none of the programs were there. All I could control was the volume. I stopped in at their office thinking I would drop them off to be fixed. My audiologist heard me speaking to her assistant and took me right in. She reloaded the programs then and there, made sure they worked, and I was on my way within minutes. This is the kind of service you want, when they will drop whatever they’re doing to make sure that your problem is taken care of and fixed right. My appointments always go well. I see them every 3 months and they replace the ear tips, filters, etc., on my hearing aids and install new batteries if they’re needed. I purchase their warranty every year and it saves me a bunch of money as opposed to paying for everything a la carte. And my audiologists and staff there are actually fun people. So caring and nice. This is the place you want to go to for all your hearing needs. 07/25/2025. So, the post above was written about 3 months ago. I recently had another appointment with Acute Hearing. I’m old, so I have a lot of doctors. I don’t often look forward to seeing them, but I’m always happy to see everyone at Acute Hearing. Such nice people, genuinely interested in how I’m doing and what’s going on in my life. The best part? We laugh a lot. They really lift my spirits. Add that to the fact that they’re so good at taking care of my ears and my hearing aids, and you’ve got a win-win going on. Seriously, if you need your hearing checked or new hearing aids or a repair on your current hearing aids, go to Acute Hearing. They’re the best.

I started wearing hearing aids in my early 60s. I was fortunate to have found Acute Hearing. They are highly trained and knowledgeable. There are cheaper options, but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a fair price for high definition hearing, Acute is my recommendation. As I was advised, if I waited until my hearing was very much diminished, it’s harder to bring it back. They always call to remind her of her appts. We too had to wait for Insurance approval which we got the call in a week or so once it was approved.. unlike the other review trust me if they say they will call they call . Maybe that person that gave a bad review it wasn’t that they didn’t call maybe you didn’t hear the phone 🤣🤣 why would they not they would lose money . Hi, For those of you that maybe thinking about your hearing. Get it tested, I did at Hearing Solutions by Pat Rigg. Yes, I had hearing loss. I try on a pair of hearing aids when I was there. I couldn’t believe the difference. My experience at Hearing solutions in Hillsboro has been great. I was allowed to try different pairs of hearing aids until I choose the one I liked. If you were to have any issues or problems with a hearing aid, Pat or Kathy they will fit it for you, period. They are very professional and genuinely concerned about people’s hearing problems. I am very impressed with my whole Acute Hearing experience. From the setting the appointment process to the testing of my hearing, I felt like I was very important to the people that I dealt with. I did have hearing loss and found out that if I didn’t get the hearing aids that I would continue to have hearing loss. I got my hearing aids and they work great. I use my smart phone to adjust the sound and the “stage” that I am in. If I’m in a crowded room, I put the stage on crowd and I can hear the people near me without all the outside noise. I have used it several times since I have gotten my hearing aids. They have truly helped me and my family appreciate the fact that I have them now and the TV isn’t turned up so loud. I would highly recommend them for anyone that is looking for help with their hearing.

I went to Hearing Solutions last summer and took the test. I liked them because my Mother had used them and really enjoyed going there. The test concluded I should get hearing aids. Cathy was outstanding in conducting the test and then guiding me through the next steps.She didn’t try to sell me anything but explained all the options and different hardware so that i could make a decision on my own. I picked out my hearing aids. When they arrived, i went in for them to be personalized for me based on the test results. I was amazed! I could literally hear a pin drop. I really could. I then went back several times as suggested by Cathy (included in prices) and had adjustments made. Each appointment started pleasantly with Wayne calling to remind me then greeting me when I arrived. Cathy always took her time to make sure the settings were perfect for me, and i mean perfect. When i complained about background noise bothering me she put on a setting to fix that. When i mentioned the Tinnitus issue, a setting to fix that (my aids have that option). Why am I writing a review today? Well, i went in this morning for cleaning. I had realized that there were some recent issues with my aids but actually didn’t think anything of it and just mentioned that i found a few times i could hear better without them. Cathy was concerned about one of them and wouldn’t stop working on it until she got to the root cause. There was a blockage on the cover by the microphone of my worst ear! She did some magic and……………..I can hear again. I hear each click of this keyboard as i type, I really heard the thunder from a storm and had to lower the car radio. Thank you Cathy for your attention to detail and thank you Wayne for making me feel so welcome. I highly recommend Hearing Solutions. Actually, I very highly recommend Hearing Solutions. I am not related to anyone there nor personal friends with anyone. Just a pleased customer.
